Sorry I hit enter by mistake -positive shapes be place in such a way as to make the negative shapes more powerful and have a stronger relationship to the picture-plane edge. You may also consider a sense of focal point, or shape hierarchy with emphasis and rest, like an actor on a stage, where the actor is the focus and stage is in support of the actor. Imagine a play where all the actors are talking at once, one would not know what to focus on.

SO....I just decided to jump in...I'm terrified...so be gentle! I am entirely new to this, self taught (I couldn't even draw a year ago), with a gift that comes entirely from insatiable creative drive after a traumatic brain injury last March. I am interested in feedback on the pieces I just posted. Clearly, I tend toward two different genre's. Note that the photographs aren't great just yet - I'm still working on that part! So, please try to critique beyond the glare/blur of my inadequate camera...that's my next learning adventure!

Hi Lindsey,thank you for the invite,just love the proposal-original idea that I'm sure is goin to spark a different kind of confront criticism,good-bad,ligth-heavy,mild-rude,long-short etc,etc,in my case (I think)is goin to help me loosen-up a litle bit on the comments without steep to embarrassment zone -_-
