When I started looking for a Group ( joined BlueCanvas yesterday ) I knew right away this is where I belong. For many years I was a Quiltmaker. I also sewed clothing for my daughters and myself. About two years ago I started keeping an art journal, which evolved into making oil paintings on canvas. Painting in my studio with music playing and my dog, Billy, for company; I sometimes feel very isolated and lonely. I've joined this Group to be with other artists, to learn techniques, and to share thoughts and feelings about making art.

Hello everyone, i am know to this group and new to art. I am self taught out of a very unusual circumstance. I suffer from chronic pain in most of my back and knees. I have learned art can and does help ease the pain of chronic pain suffers. So i call my art "Pain Art" since it is derived out of pain. I use graphite pencil and color pencil. Any tips are greatly appreciated. Much love to all.

I've only recently gotten into photography. I'm thinking about going back to school for a degree in photography but until then (if it even happens) I'm trying to figure everything out through trial and error, google, and online art communities(because physical ones are severely lacking where I currently am). So I'm really glad this group is here!

Thanks for having me! I haven't taken an art class since the 8th grade, and that was quite some time ago! lol. I started teaching myself flameworked glass in my dining room, and it grew from there. I love experimenting and I think that has been a driving force for me :)
