HELLO ! So nice to find in a new place familiar "faces" , RB artist-friends ) You may find me in RB under the same nick "Manana11"
Hi everybody! so glad to have found his group! still have a soft spot for RB, but this place is somuch nicer! xx
Hi just joined & heard about BC from RB and I'm here to give it a try! Hope I meet some of my old buddies from RB, if you are here, give me a shout!!! :)
Hi, feeling the need for a change from RB, the latest changes have not been good, especially for fractal artists and photographers.
Still lovin' RB so, for me, X is a kiss! However, love to expand horizons! Can never have too many friends! :)
Yey!! Next to Martin up there.... like old times:))) Daisy... I love that you created this group as soon as we all landed here last year...... XXXX
Hello everyone. I've only been on BC for a couple of weeks and only found it by chance. I am a current RBler but after a couple of years found I've become stale. It's my stuff and nothing to do with RB, but there's something different here, something fresh and new. Hard to put my finger on but I've seen different artwork here that has fired me up. Very inspirational stuff from genres I've never even contemplated, and it's giving me ideas that probably would have otherwise passed me by. This is a wonderful community of artists expressing their passion and talents, and I'm glad to be a part of it. X is a kiss... and sorry for rambling on.
Happy to be part of XRB. I've seen mention of this group in my travels around BC but never really new what it was about till I finally checked it out today. Great concept. I'm still at RB but spend most of my time here at BC. Lots of good folks here! Thanks for having me. Nice gallery!
Please excuse my audacity in adding ten images at once to the group but they are a series and should be viewed as such. I hope you enjoy them. GB D!
So far, I am still really happy with RB and have many many friends there, so for me, the X is a KISS. Still, so NICE to see so many RB'ers here and to still be surrounded by such wonderful and talented people!! Cheers!
I'm still with RB, too established there to leave but I'm not real happy with the changes they have done, but I'm going to ride them out. Also I still have too many friends that are still there. Friends are very important to me, but alot of them are here now, so here I am!
Hello All RBer's.....I'm here as of about an hour ago from RB with my hubby imagetj. Thought I'd give it a try. Nice to see some familiar faces. Looking forward to the journey. :)
Good morning one and all, I'm delighted to find some familiar faces here. I'm totally lost, my usual state of course, crossing the road requires a man with a map walking in front of me, but I'm happy to find what I hope will be a comfortable haven. Eventually I'll figure out posting images and then may even find the courage to submit some.
Wow, I feel like I fell from the sky and landed in this wonderful net here! Great to see everyone! I wondered where everyone went! Yeah!!
Wow! So many Bubblers, and ex-Bubblers over here! Still on RB, but wanting to broaden my horizons. Hello to everyone!

Wonderful to see you Barbara! Sorry for my late reply! I have been so busy! Welcome to BC and thank you for joining XRB! XXX!
There are many reasons why artists leave or stay on online art communities. If the community makes you feel comfortable artists, they tend to stay there. If the artist feels uncomfortable they tend to exit, some with fanfare some quietly. The comfort level is wholly subjective to the artist themselves and each artist will do what they feel is right for them no matter what anybody else says about the issues.
I'm listed here, RB, and a number of places (including my own site). In the short time here, I've found Blue Canvas to be a pretty nice place, good art and good interaction. So far, for whatever reason I've not really utilized RB too much. Since you have an XRB group, I was wondering what made people to do the move from there to here.
I am sure if you so a google search about redbubble in the news yo will find plenty of information. None of us is willing to bring it up here, it has been traumatizing to many of us. BC is a great place to be!! And it is wonderful to see so many familiar faces! Thank you for joining XRB!
Hey there, lovely lady :) Glad to be here as an EX bubbler. so sad...I loved my bubble. :(

~ Banging head on desk ~ ... ok, well, here's where everyone finds out / confirms what a dolt I am ... I just changed my settings like Rosie advised and POOF I got onto a page that had an activity thingie ... and I could see what was going on with my "peers" ... YAY!!! BUT!! I left the page ... and now ... I can't find it ANYWHERE!!!! WAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! ~sob~sob~ I feel a bit like Alice in Wonderland, here. HAHHA! .. anyhow .. anyone know how I can find my way back to it??
Hey Lois, the page with the feed is your MY CANVAS page. Personally, I have one of my home pages set to this page, to save looking for it, and I really use it as a home base. I hope this might help you hun...just give me a hoot if I might be of help!! xxx
@ Rosie ... thanks for that tip, hon ... I have been wondering how on earth everyone keeps up with what's going on ... no main activity page and I 've been feeling quite lost ... maybe this is the key ... thanks hon!!!
I believe too many artists feel the need to apologize for their right to express themselves freely - especially when it ruffles the feathers of those that display, market, and exploit their work. This is one of the lessons that I learned at RedBubble. I must also applaud all my fellow artistists who have chosen to champion the right of all artists to be free from ideological manipulation. True artitsts never bow to the demands of politics and ideology. The idea that artists need to hide silently from the world in order to create beauty is repugnant to me. Truth is beauty; even when it is sad or disturbing.
Here are the comments of JKF about this subject; I cherish them to this day:
"The artist, however faithful to his personal vision of reality, becomes the last champion of the individual mind and sensibility against an intrusive society and an officious state. The great artist is thus a solitary figure...
If art is to nourish the roots of our culture, society must set the artist free to follow his vision wherever it takes him. We must never forget that art is not a form of propaganda; it is a form of truth. And as Mr. MacLeish once remarked of poets, there is nothing worse for our trade than to be in style. In free society art is not a weapon and it does not belong to the spheres of polemic and ideology. Artists are not engineers of the soul. It may be different elsewhere. But democratic society--in it, the highest duty of the writer, the composer, the artist is to remain true to himself and to let the chips fall where they may."
I will not apologize for art that is faithful to the artists's personal vision of reality - art that "becomes the last champion of the individual mind and sensibility against an intrusive society".

Great place, lots of familiar and friendly faces! Very happy to be part of this new home, brings back smiles and happyness...
Does everyone in here know about setting your NOTIFICATION SETTINGS in your ACCOUNT SETTINGS to ensure you're kept abreast of all that's happening at BC and the groups and peers! I mention this here as my settings need to be re-checked regularly perhaps as a result of ongoing amendments to the site right now. Perhaps you might keep a check on your own too :))
I certainly didn't know and now that I have found them it all makes much more sense!! Thanks for pointing it out Rosie! XXX!
Hiya, I am not 'ex' RB just spreading my wings... Glad to find so many familiar faces. :-) xo
Like you can read in the sidebar, leaving RB is no requirement! Really hapy to see you here Sybille!! :)
Hi Daisy and everyone. Thank you for starting this group. If it's okay, I'd like to extend an invitation to join Patience at http://groups.bluecanvas.com/patience Also, Rosie started a group called Blue at http://groups.bluecanvas.com/blue and it's growing quickly. She already has 79 members. I have seven so far in Patience.
Thank you so much for the invite Shutterbug, I will definately check them out! Thank you for joining the group!
This might rub some people the wrong way, so please excuse me. Can we please check our negativity at the door. I didn't come here to dwell on RB politics and I am sure most of us would rather leave that stuff behind. Agree? Cheers to you all and keep smiling :)
I have stated clearly from the beginning that this group is open to ALL members and that the aim of the group is to leave the negaitivity behind! :)
Hi there ALL!!! I am really happy to see so many familiar faces too! Since the aim of this group wasn;t very clear to some I changed the description. I hope many people will join!! I am still stumbling to find my way around but loving the place allready! Love to all! XXX!
Super to see so many wonderful familiar avatars and names!!! Thanks Daisy for setting this up too. Good on ya!! w.

please feel free to submit as much work as you like, i know we are all building our galleries and oploading lots! :)
Hi to ALL! (not replying to each and everyone individually since the site is very slow for us Europeans) WELCOME to the new members! It is really REALLY great to see all your faces! Gives me hope that we can create a real nice community again, which is definately my aim! :)
Hi everyone, like Rene, I haven't left RB (yet), but it's nice to see all the familiar faces/names here!
Hello sweetie!! wonderful to see you here as well!! Love your portfolio allready! and you ofcourse! XXX!
Btw, I am Rene Fuller, Bluecanvas wouldn't accept my name:)
Hi René! ( that's my husbands name as well) Welcome to the XRB group! Great to have you on board! Hope you like it here!!
Shame it wouldn't recognise your name... I recognised something about your work but couldn't place it.... thanks for clarifying that :-P Great to see your work on here!
Hi, not an XRB yet, but I'd like to join anyway:) No politics is the way to go, we are photographers and artists, yeah us:)!
personally politics is fine with me but we need to learn to behave and have civil discussions about our differences in opinion! I do not wish to carry over any of the negaitvity from the other side...i think all of us got hurt and we need to learn to avoid that happening again in the future....
Hi everyone! It's me and I'm sooooo happy to see many familiar 'faces'! Now comes the task of searching out the new stuff and seeing how everything works! Catcha' later!
HI guys, for those who are in Asia there is a new group http://groups.bluecanvas.com/amazingasia you are welcome to join

Ahh, this is curious, I am not a member of the group any more... Should I re-join, or is it the rule that duds who take lousy pics shouldn't be in the group? (Snortle?) Love Trish xxx
What a wonderful idea Daisy....I'm here - wishing you an awesome day sweetheart! Joyce
Hi Sweetheart! Isn't it wonder to see everyone? I know are a member for some time allready here and it is great to have someone to help us find our way around! Happy to have you in the group your work is wonderful!!! Love to you! XXX!
I want to change my avatar, and I can't see where that button is.
Mary hi!! Your avatar is gorgeous now, so I am guessing you figured the answer out...let me know if not, and I can help you...so GREAT to see you here XXX
Daisy I want to ask you if you might foresee any possibility of creating a place for WRITING in here, as this was the major thing that differentiated RB frrom others- and I know many Writers there are feeling held back, and abandoned...etc..I would so love to be able to welcome them in some format..even if you might consider setting up a temporary Forum venue for writing...?? OK...I have to get on with my day...LOVE you all xxx
Maybe you should ask the curators?? i ahev asked for a follow button on the threads (we are getting that!) and Video's ( we are very liikely getting them too!!!!) and I have asked for a notification when peers submit new work...i do not want to come across as demanding......will you ask please? they are extremely open to new idea's! HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hahahahaha....oh, I was trying to not be demanding either!! OK...will do hun ... LOVE to you & rest up!! xxxxxxxx
We do offer a status feed called "Blue Notes" on your My Canvas page, which feeds your peer's activities. Such as new artwork uploads, comments, blog posts, etc. For a Notification of peers submitting new work ... are you referring to uploading work to Bluecanvas, or just for the group specifically? We didn't want to send an email for every image upload from your friends. Any other thoughts on that?
Thanks so much for the reply Curator! Still finding my way around the site, and I think Daisy might be saying a special announcement to the comments sections under our profile avatar when someone on our watchlist posts...there is so much traffic in my Blue Notes I am finding some parts a challenge to track. :))
Hullo Daisy, hullo XRB's!!! This is looking very healthy indeed-great to be among friends..we all shared a wonderful chapter together, and I am so happy to see any RB's - X's and those still there. Daisy I embrace this group and the opportunity to recoup our spirits.
hope this helps! Select "Manage Artwork" in the drop down. Navigate to the folder that contains the image that you want to set as your profile picture. Locate the image that you want to set as your profile picture and click the link titled "[make profile pic]." Using your mouse, you can create a selection around the area of the image to set as your profile picture. You will see an image preview of what your profile picture will look like on the right hand side of the page. Be sure to click 'Save' to set the selected area as your profile picture.
GREAT to see you Frank WELCOME!! It will take a bit but I am sure you;ll find your way around!! i like alot of things here ALOT!
ALL types of Art Daisy!!! You always were so radical...imagine no possessions, too..OK, everypone know how to do this?? You go into CONTROL PANEL, at the TOP LEFT, beside XRB
a separate screen opens, and with one action, you add the images from your collection into the box at the RIGHT SIDE, and ENTER!!
CONGRATULATIONS on the Group Daisy and everyone!!!
I could see you were all looking how to add images, and HOPE its OK I went ahead, then left the INSTRUCTIONS...OK?? I am sure we can remove them if you want anyone else's work to be first...no problem...
Back off to bed again here...See you all later!! xxxxxxxxxxx

So THIS is where everyone from RB went... Glad to be here!
