self-portraits

This is how I felt when I moved away from my first real studio to a new culture unfamiliar. I felt tangeled in unfamiliar teritory with no outlet for my work;however I could see where I might find a place with a lot of networking which was not in my cumfort zone.

I just joined and added the three aspects of my self that I recently uploaded online. My art is not in any way realistic and I don't know what this group will make of that. But I very much enjoy the concept of making a self-portrait and think this group is a great idea.

Hope I didn't add too many at one time! It just happens that many of my recent paintings have been self portraits.

I think you raise an interesting point, uptonparkman. I know for sure that all my images of women are basically self portraits...

just a question, but aren't all works 'self portraites' no matter the subject?
